The University of Groningen is a research university with a global outlook, deeply rooted in Groningen, City of Talent. Founded in 1614, quality has had top priority for four hundred years, and with success: the University is currently in the top 100 on several influential ranking lists. We distinguish ourselves in the international market through a close link between education and research and by focusing on three key elements: Energy, Healthy Ageing and Sustainable Society. We provide all students with a well-balanced, high quality curriculum across a multitude of disciplines.
